Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

Conversion rate optimization (CRO) is the systematic practice of increasing the percentage of visitors who complete a desired action on a website.

Conversion rate optimization (CRO) is the systematic practice of increasing the percentage of website visitors who complete a desired action: a purchase, a booked call, a form submission, or a signup. CRO grows revenue from the traffic a site already has.

How it works

CRO starts with research, not guesses: analytics review, session recordings, heatmaps, user surveys, and funnel analysis identify where and why visitors drop off. Hypotheses are prioritized by expected impact and tested, usually through A/B tests, so changes are proven rather than assumed. Winning changes compound: a page converting at 3 percent instead of 2 percent makes every marketing dollar 50 percent more productive.

Why it matters

Traffic keeps getting more expensive; conversion improvements are permanent efficiency gains that apply to every channel at once. CRO is often the highest-ROI work available to a business already paying for visitors. Learn more about our conversion rate optimization services.
